Aside from introducing the highly-anticipated Arteon, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia also introduced the new Tiguan Allspace R-line and Highline – priced at RM165k and RM209k respectively.
The Highline variant is powered by a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine with 150 hp and 250 Nm, paired to a 6-speed DCT gearbox to drive the front wheels. On the other hand, the more expensive R-Line variant comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 220 hp and 350 Nm, paired to a 7-speed DCT gearbox to drive all four wheels via Volkswagen’s 4Motion system.
Compared to the Tiguan Allspace Highline, the R-Line comes with a sportier front bumper, with black accents surrounding the front fog lamps and larger 19-inch wheels compared to the 18-inch set in the Highline. The R-Line also comes with more futuristic taillight graphics compared to the Highline variant along with different finishing for the rear bumper.
The new Tiguan Allspace is available in Blue Silk, Pure White, Deep Black, Platinum Grey and Pyrite Silver. Each is accompanied by a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, a 3-year free scheduled service package, and a 5-year roadside assistance package.
