Sales Tax Exemption: Sime Darby Auto Performance updates price list for Porsche models

Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) has released the updated price list for Porsche Malaysia models, in reflection of the government’s announcement for the exemption of sales tax in private vehicles, as part of the country’s post-COVID-19 short term economy recovery plan.

The new Porsche Malaysia price list, which has gone into effect since Monday the 15th of June, will be valid until the end of the year. The revised Porsche price list sees a reduction in price ranging from 2.7% to 3.9%, with savings of up to RM47,609.

The price listed above are all base prices for each model, before options, road tax, and insurance. The 911 Carrera 4S that was included in our 2019 AutoBuzz.my Best (Driver’s) Cars received the largest reduction in price, coming in at 3.9% (RM47,609).

The entry-level Porsche 718 Boxster now starts at RM486,727, which is 2.7% or RM13,273 lower than before; the hard-top 718 Cayman sees a reduction of 3.2% (RM17,410), now priced from RM522,590.

The ubiquitous Cayenne is now up to 3.5% (RM32,685) cheaper than before, depending on the selected variant. As for the Porsche Macan, the higher-specification Macan S sees a reduction of 3.6% (RM22,271).

As an added bonus, bookings made from now up till the 30th of June will be entitled to an additional one-year warranty extension, and up to additional two-years free insurance, depending on the Porsche model.

Alongside the updated Porsche Malaysia price list, SDAP is also introducing an extension to the Porsche 360 Financing+ for the Macan SUV. The plan offers a maximum financing of up to 90%, for a financing tenure starting from 12 months up to 60 months.

With the Porsche 360 Financing+ plan, the Macan can be yours starting at just RM6,300 a month (based on a 5-year loan tenure and 90% financed value), which Porsche says is up to 30% lower than conventional financing.

The new financing plan is now applicable until the 31st of December 2020.
