Honda HR-V RS now available with new dark brown leather interior option

Honda Malaysia today announced the addition of a new dark brown leather interior upholstery option for the HR-V RS variant, in addition to the existing black leather. Customers can choose between the two leather options at no extra cost.

Just like the black leather option, the new leather upholstery is applied to the centre console, dash board panel, seats, as well as door panel linings. Aside from the new swanky interior colour though, the HR-V RS remains entirely identical as before.

That means underneath the hood of the Honda HR-V RS is the 1.8-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine, paired to a CVT gearbox to send 142 hp and 172 Nm to the front wheels. The HR-V RS also gets a variant-exclusive Variable Gear Ratio (VGR) steering rack which left us a good impression during our first drive.

Other standard equipment on the HR-V RS include 18-inch dual tone alloys, RS-specific black body kit, reverse camera, 8-way powered driver seat, Honda LaneWatch camera, paddle shifters, 6 airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist and Hill Start Assist.

You might recall that the Honda HR-V RS was initially launched with an Ivory White leather interior. However, the flashy interior option did not bode well with Malaysians, prompting Honda Malaysia to replace it with a full-black leather upholstery.

The Honda HR-V RS with the new dark brown leather interior is now available for order at all Honda dealerships nationwide, priced at RM124,800 – which is exactly the same as before. Three exterior colours are available on the HR-V RS – Passion Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic and White Orchid Pearl.
