Majority of Volkswagen service centres now operational during MCO

Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has announced that a majority of Volkswagen service centres in the country are now operational during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, through a Facebook post today.

The announcement stated that most of its service centres have received approval from the Ministry of Inernational Trade and Industry (MITI) to operate during the MCO period.

VPCM reassures that strict precautionary measures are in place to protect the health and safety of its customers. These include regular sanitisation of the premises, temperature screening and health briefings for its staff, implementation of contactless vehicle acceptance, vehicle sanitisation before and after service, as well as vehicle pick-up and drop-off with selected dealerships.

Owners are advised to contact their trusted service centres to enquire of their operation schedule and make an appointment.

[Update: VPCM has clarified that all services carried out during this MCO will be on an appointment basis. Furthermore, priority will be given to front-liners and customers who have signed up for the Welcome Back campaign.]

Volkswagen showrooms and service centres have been shut since the commencement of the MCO on the 18th of March. VPCM assured that all warranties of vehicles with their scheduled service falling during the MCO period will continue to be honoured.
