Locally-assembled BMW X4 xDrive30i M Sport updated with advanced safety kit, RM11k price increase

Alongside the 3 Series, BMW Malaysia has also updated the equipment list of the locally-assembled (CKD) G02 BMW X4 xDrive30i M Sport, introduced in June last year.

Similar to the 3-er, the updated BMW X4 now comes equipped with the brand’s Driver Assistant Package, which includes Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning and front collision warning with brake intervention (Autonomous Emergency Braking), crossing traffic warning rear and rear collision prevention.

Compared to its direct competitor – the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 Coupe 4MATIC, the X4 does pull out slightly ahead now with the addition of the rear cross-traffic alert and rear collision prevention assist.

Aside from safety, the updated CKD BMW X4 also includes the new 12.3-inch BMW Live Cockpit Professional digital instrument cluster – the one without the “analogue-look” dials, as seen on the all-new BMW 3 Series and X5.

The new kit does come at a price though, as the CKD BMW X4 xDrive30i M Sport is now priced from RM375,800, a whole RM11,000 up from before. However, it does still have the upper hand in pricing against the GLC Coupe, which is priced at RM419,888.

The new RRP is inclusive of a five-year unlimited mileage warranty and free service package, as well as a 24-month BMW Tyre Warranty from the date of purchase.
