2021 Hyundai Elantra revealed with a fastback look and snazzy interior

Hyundai Motor has released the first images of the all-new 2021 Elantra and for some reason we can’t help but see the rear quarter of a Honda Civic FC in there.

The all-new 7th generation model’s design revolves around parametric shapes and texture – a reflection of Hyundai’s new design identity – something that was already noticeable in the facelift Elantra launched locally last year.

It also sports are larger, thicker C-pillar, drawing some resemblance to the fastback-ish look of the current generation Honda Civic FC and perhaps even the Gran Coupe models of BMW.

Hyundai says the Elantra will create a driver-focused cockpit via the “Immersive Cocoon” interior theme. There’s a hint of the new Mk 8 Volkswagen Golf in there too; with the instrument cluster and infotainment display merged as one.

Locally, the facelift Elantra is only available in a single variant – the 2.0-litre Executive – priced at RM109,888.
