New BMW i Charging points installed in Penang, open to public

Tian Siang Premium Auto, the authorised dealer of BMW cars in Ipoh and Butterworth and Gurney Paragon Mall have installed two BMW i Charging stations at the Gurney Paragon Mall in Penang for the convenience of shoppers with plug-in vehicles.

Managing Director of Tian Siang Premium, Tan Ka Kin said, “The new charging facilities here at Gurney Paragon Mall marks our first location on the Island of Penang and the second in the state that is fully-equipped and ready to further power the future of mobility in Malaysia, complementing the two BMW i Charging Facilities introduced at the Iconic Hotel in Butterworth, Penang in October last year. As we continue to expand accessibility to charging facilities, I am confident that the adoption of electromobility in the northwestern region of Malaysia will increase in 2020.”

The new BMW i Charging stations in Gurney Paragon Mall complement the existing charging points made available by BMW Group Malaysia and its dealer partners, which now stands at over 20 spread over various locations including Bangsar Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur, The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat and WEIL Hotel in Ipoh; Holiday Inn and The Equatorial in Malacca; as well as at CityONE Megamall Kuching.

Through the BMW ChargeNow service, offered as part of the BMW 360° ELECTRIC programme, customers can also access to 270 charging locations under ChargEV’s nationwide network.
