BMW Group Malaysia together with Sunway Group, Shell Malaysia and ParkEasy have just launched new charging bays for electrified vehicles here in Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre.
The new Reserve + Shell Recharge Bays are slightly different from the BMW i Charging Facilities launched previously as users can reserve their parking spot beforehand through the ParkEasy app. Once reserved, users will be guaranteed that particular parking bay equipped with BMW i Charging Facilities.
There are 5 Reserve + Shell Recharge Bays in Sunway Pyramid, located at Level CP2 Preferred Parking and are the closest parking spot to the mall entrance. Reservations made through the ParkEasy app will be held for up to 1 hour and each booking costs 6 credits on weekdays and 8 credits on weekends (1 credit = RM1).
An hourly fee of 3.8 credits is charged for the time of the vehicle is occupying the bay while standard parking charges collected by the building (Sunway Pyramid CP2 Preferred Parking, 1st 2 hours RM5.00) still apply. Charging of your EV/PHEV is, however, free of charge.
There will be 10 Reserve + Shell Recharge Bays available across three major Sunway Group Properties – 5 in Sunway Pyramid, 3 in Sunway Pinnacle and 2 in Sunway Velocity Mall. BMW Group Malaysia, Shell and ParkEasy are looking to grow the number of bays in the future.
