No matter how large the explosions, no matter how bizarre the challenges, deep down we all know that Top Gear would never be the same after the departure of the infamous trio.

Even Clarkson, the brainchild of the series watched by so many around the world, felt less than sympathetic when told that ratings and viewership of the motoring franchise had dipped significantly since their departure.

We, however, perpetually believe in second chances and from the montage at least, one thing is for sure – their production quality is still top notch. Whether or not the two new hosts, Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff, will be as charismatic as Chris Harris, we’ll just have to wait and see!
