We’ll have the Honda e in Charge Yellow, please

With the imminent market debut of the cute little Honda e, Honda is now accepting orders in UK, Germany, France and Norway. This is also the first time the Honda e is shown in a variety of colours.

Five colour options will be available for the urban electric vehicle (EV), consisting of Platinum White Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Crystal Blue Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic and Charge Yellow – which we think is the nicest of them all.

While the company have not announced the official pricing of their latest EV, they have received over 20,000 registration of interest and now customers can place their order with an £800 (RM4,245) deposit. First deliveries are set to commence from 2020 onwards.

To recap, the new Honda e is a nod to the original Civic’s ethos with a compact yet minimalistic design for the urban setting. As such the exterior and cabin are as functional as it gets with pop-out door handles, 17-inch alloys wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 rubbers, two-tone exterior paint, Camera Mirror System, widescreen display for the infotainment and instrument cluster as well as wood inlay trims.

Honda claims that the EV can return over 200 km of driving range on a single charge and the “fast charge” compatibility can charge the battery to 80% in 30 minutes. While key performance figures were not revealed, we know that the Honda e will be rear wheel driven. Honda claims that this is the ideal set up for everyday urban commute and fun driving experience.
