With the launch of the updated C-Class range, it is only a matter of time before the top of the line Mercedes-AMG C 63 gets a refreshed with all the latest goodies.
As with its range of AMG vehicles, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has unleashed both the facelifted Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Sedan and Coupe at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC).

Resting under the hood of these C-Klasse is the same M177 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 generating 510 hp and 700 Nm of torque. A new 9-speed AMG Speedshift 9G MCT automatic is tasked to transfer power exclusively to the rear wheels. With launch control engaged, the Coupe will go from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds while the Sedan manages a touch slower at 4.0 seconds – still ridiculously fast for a family saloon. Top speed is electronically limited to 290 km/h on both cars.
The AMG Dynamic Select system has also been retuned on the facelifted cars, now featuring a new “Slippery” mode for maximum traction on slippery conditions, joining the existing Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Race.
As for styling, our local-spec vehicles come as standard with Panamericana grille, Multibeam LED headlamps, AMG Night package, AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre Package, AMG lip spoiler, red painted brake calipers and 19-inch AMG alloys – cross spoke design for the Sedan and five-twin-spoke design for the Coupe.
Stepping inside, both cars are updated with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, AMG Performance steering wheel, powered front AMG Performance bucket seats with memory function, heads-up display, 64-colour ambient lighting, Burmester Surround sound system and a powered sunroof.
Safety wise, the C 63 S twin gets the Driving Assistance Package which bundles Autonomous Emergency Braking, Pilot Distance Distronic (adaptive cruise control), Active Lane Keeping Assist and Active Blind Spot Assist.
