The Australian police force has adopted a new Honda Civic Type R!

The New South Wales (NSW) police force has been sponsored the fastest FWD vehicle around the Nurburging as part of a 12-month partnership with Honda Australia.

The FK8 Honda Civic Type R, which GC Mah reviewed recently, will used as part of the local Eyewatch social media initiative to better connect the public with the local police force.

The local Eyewatch programme was initiated back in 2012 to connect local communities with the police via social media for crime prevention measures, to help locate missing or wanted individuals and sharing of local crimes and incidences.

The local NSW police chief also believes that the catchy design of the car will serve as a good conversation starter and encourage the public, especially younger people, to be more comfortable in approaching the police.

Locally, the PDRM was also seen testing the Civic Type R as it underwent technical evaluations on its suitability for the police force.
