Watch out for these Perodua Bezza patrol cars prowling on the streets of Selangor

Perodua has recently contributed three units of the Perodua Bezza to the Selangor Police Contingent (IPK Selangor) to be deployed as patrol cars.

These Bezza’s have been outfitted with police equipment needed for the personnel to carry out their duties such as radios and beacon lamps. The vehicles will be stationed at IPK Selangor, the Bukit Aman Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK Bukit Aman) and Hulu Selangor District Police (IPD Hulu Selangor).

Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad said: ““For the 26 years Perodua has made Selangor our home, we have been able to operate effectively and without distress due to the commendable efforts by the Royal Malaysian Police, particularly IPK Selangor, to maintain public safety, peace and harmony.”

“We hope our humble contribution can be accepted by the police as a token of gratitude for their resolute steadfastness, fairness, dedication and courage. We salute you,” Dato’ Zainal added.

Before you scoff at the Bezza’s 95 hp/121 Nm 1.3-litre powerplant, remember their main function is to serve as patrol cars. Durability, efficiency and manoeuvrability – which the Bezza excels in – becomes valuable qualities to carry out the job.

Besides, PDRM has a more fitting car in their arsenal for high-speed pursuits…
