Maserati Levante gets new entry-level 3.0L V6 with 350 hp

Maserati has just announced a new engine option for the MY19 Maserati Levante range. The premium SUV can now be had with a 3.0-litre litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine and is positioned as the entry-level variant.

With 350 hp on tap, the all-wheel-drive Levante will sprint to 100 km/h from rest in 6.0 seconds, 0.8 seconds slower than the 430 hp Levante S. Top speed is limited to 250 km/h. Maserati said that despite being the entry-level petrol engine, the Levante still retains the signature aural character and performance.

Making its global debut at the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Levante range has also been updated with new options such as Adaptive Full LED Matrix headlamps, Integrated Vehicle Control as well as 11 colour options.

Mike Biscoe, General Manager, Maserati GB commented: “We are pleased to be able to now offer the 350 hp petrol engine on the Maserati Levante, which in addition to the 430 hp petrol engine we introduced last year and the 275 hp diesel we offered at launch, provide a much greater choice to our UK customers. The introduction of the more cost-effective, entry-level petrol engine is a result of the demand in the market and we expect it to sell extremely well.”

Local distributor, Naza Italia has both the Maserati Levante Diesel and Levante S on sale from RM788k.
