BMW Concept X7 iPerformance makes its first ever appearance in Malaysia

The BMW Concept X7 iPerformance introduced just last year has been unveiled at the Bangsar Shopping Centre and will remain on showcase from Wednesday, 18th July 2018 to Sunday, 22nd July 2018.

The Concept X7 “Sports Activity Vehicle” is not only here in Malaysia for the first time, it’s also making its first-ever appearance in South East Asia. It’s a very important introduction for BMW, as the Concept X7 will serve as the brand’s new beacon which will set the tone for luxurious mobility.

It will also set the tone as the new face of the BMW “X family” and the most noticeable change to its front end is the introduction of a new “vertical kidney grille”. How will most take it? We’re not sure; but it’s certain that we’ll see them by the truckloads on the road before long.

With BMW not straying too far from the elongated twin headlights (as seen in the spy shots), the Concept X7 will resemble the face of the “taukes” that would undoubtedly be lured into that imposing presence.

Although what may unlikely follow the Concept X7 into production are those 23-inch wheels which are housed under circular wheel arches – another first in the BMW X series.

At the back, the new rear end of the upcoming X7, supposedly due for launch by early next year, is exemplified by sharp three-dimensional L-shaped tail lights, flanking a prominent chrome strip across the tailgate.

Inside the six-seater cabin – representing BMW’s new design language that focuses on vast, open surfaces and clear edges – is a panoramic roof, leather trims and upholstery in dark Olive-Bronze with gold pigmentation and Smoke White, and strands of laser light on the roof.
