McLaren has created five units of the 570S Spider for patriotic Canadians

McLaren Automotive and Pfaff Automotive Partners, the distributor for McLarens in Canada, have partnered up to create five very special 570S Spiders, in celebrating McLaren’s milestones in Canada.

Customised by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), McLaren’s bespoke department, the 570S Spiders are named the ‘Canada Commission’ and features a number of unique design elements that pay tribute to McLaren’s history in Canada.

Firstly, the body is painted in Silica White, with exterior trims tinted in red carbon fibre. There are also subtle white Canadian flags replacing the ‘570S’ wordings on the door and Canadian Maple Leaf accents on the rear of the vehicle to go with the 10-spoke lightweight forged wheels in stealth finish.

Inside, the black leather Alcantara interior is contrasted by a red Alcantara steering wheel and roof lining as well subtle maple leaf accents. Each car is stamped with plaque that identifies it as one of five “Canada Commission” vehicles.

The McLaren MSO X, based on the 570S, inspired by the 570S GT4 race car.

The seductive 570S Spider features a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired to a 7-speed transmission with 562 hp and 600 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 3.1 seconds, onward to a top speed of 328 km/h, identical to the 570S Coupé while the top speed with the roof down is 315 km/h. The “Canada Commission” 570S Spider is priced at RM 1.3 million before taxes.
