Although just introduced recently, the Audi A8‘s facade has been given a Sports Exterior package for a little sharpening up. It also marks the introduction of the exterior color Daytona gray for the luxury sedan.
The package consists mainly of an aluminium clip below the Singleframe grille, clear contours around the air inlets along with honeycomb grilles. The side sills have also been stretched wider towards the wheels. The rear bumper has been redesigned to accommodate a rhombus-grille insert and a contrasting diffuser.
Inside the A8, new sports seats feature optically-integrated head restraints, a first for the Audi A8, as it previously comes with electric height adjustment only. The seats are also added with backrest side bolster adjustment, along with climate control and massage function.
For upholstery, customers can choose from the top leather grades – Volcona and unicum – where the latter appears in nutmeg brown with tourmaline blue stitching. The Valcona leather is available in sard brown with steel grey stitching.
The sports seats which cost EUR 4,520 (RM 20,403) is available for all engine and body versions. So far, the exterior package is only reserved for German and European markets, available from next year onwards, at the price of EUR 1,950 (RM 9,361).
