Subaru BRZ STI Sport unveiled ahead of Tokyo, improved handling, 100 units only

Shortly after Toyota launched its limited-edition Toyota GT 86 Limited Black Package, Subaru has also given its twin, the BRZ some exclusive touches. Unveiled ahead of the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show, only 100 units of the BRZ STI Sport will be produced for Japan.

Like the GT 86 Limited Black Package, the BRZ STI Sport gets a mildly refreshed exterior and interior to take driving enjoyment and comfort to the next level. The chassis benefits from improved body rigidity and revised suspension tuning for greater driving feel. It gets a special Cool Grey Khaki exterior just like the limited-series WRX STI S208.

Inside, the cabin gets a two-tone (red on black) theme, highlighting the cars sporty appeal. No details were released about the cars powerplant but expect the 2.0-litre direct-injection boxer-engine to soldier on with 197 hp and 205 Nm. Drive is of course sent to the rear-wheels and a six-speed manual transmission is a given.

Full vehicle specifications will be announced during the launch and like the S208, keen buyers will only be able to purchase this special edition BRZ through a lottery process.
