All Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles will be electrified from 2020 onwards!



The Swedes has announced that they every car in their stable will feature some form of electrifications to lower emissions and now the Brits are following suit. Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has just announced that from 2020 onwards, all Jaguar and Land Rover models will be electrified.

This bold announcement was made during the inaugural JLR Tech Fest where the company discuss the next step in future mobility. Dr Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover Chief Executive Officer, said: “We will introduce a portfolio of electrified products across our model range, embracing fully electric, plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid vehicles. Our first fully electric performance SUV, the Jaguar I-PACE, goes on sale next year.”

Leading the electrification offensive will be the all electric SUV Jaguar I-PACE which will be available for purchase next year. Also, up their sleeves is the E-Type Zero concept that reimagined the iconic Jaguar E-Type with an electrified powertrain.

Besides that, Jaguar has also unveiled the Future-Type, a visionary concept car that envisions automobiles of 2040 and beyond. The Future-Type explores the realms of fully autonomous vehicles that are shared, not owned. Sayer, the intelligent steering wheel is also part of this futuristic concept.

No other details were announced just yet but we sure are looking forward to what’s to come in the JLR stable!
