At the launch of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC 200, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has also added another 43 Series to the Mercedes-AMG family, the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe, in the OrangeArt Special Edition no less.
Available for order from RM719k (OTR without insurance), the GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe gets the full AMG treatment down from the engine down to the suspension tuning. It is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 paired to a nine-speed G-Tronic automatic transmission that outputs 385 hp and 520 Nm of torque. Drive is sent to all four corners as denoted by the 4MATIC badge. Key performance figures read 5.7 seconds century sprint time and 250 km/h top speed; the exact figures of the GLE 450 4MATIC Coupe.

On the outside, the GLE Coupe wears the AMG exterior line as expected – AMG diamond radiator grille, AMG body kit, twin exhaust outlets, AMG spoiler lip and 21-inch five twin-spoke AMG alloy wheels are fitted as standard. On top of that, the OrangeArt Edition gets additional orange accents on the lower bumper and wheels as well as the Night Package which blacks out the front grille, wing mirrors and roof. As for the paint finish, customers can choose between six options – Black, Polar White, Obsidian Black, Iridium Silver, Selenite Grey and Designo Diamond White Bright.
Inside, the cabin gets the full AMG treatment too with Nappa leather and DINAMICA microfibre upholstery, carbon fibre trim, AMG three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel and AMG instrument cluster. The orange contrast stitching on the seats and floor mats are unique OrangeArt Edition touches. Other standard items on the GLE 43 Coupe includes panoramic sunroof, Command Online infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround sound syste, rear seat infotaintment, keyless entry and start, powered tailgate, soft closing doors and many more luxurious features befitting of the E-Class equivalent SUV.
MBM has expressed that the Mercedes-AMG GLE 43 4MATIC Coupe OrangeArt Edition will be available in very limited units only. For RM718k, the only question you have to ask yourself is would you rather be rolling in a three-pointed AMG SUV or a Porsche Cayenne.
