Volkswagen T-Roc teased in series of sketches ahead of global debut

Seems that SUV’s are all the craze right now that even Ferrari can’t resist building one. Volkswagen has just released a teaser of all-new crossover SUV called the T-Roc through a number of sketches ahead of its global debut happening on 23 August 2017.

The T-Roc combines the dynamism of an SUV with the athleticism of a sporty compact crossover. Both characteristics are reflected on the design which is off-road friendly yet befitting of an urban setting. Judging from the sketches it appears that the T-Roc will feature a fastback like silhouette with strong body lines much like the Range Rover Evoque.

The wide radiator grille with integrated dual headlamps makes the T-Roc instantly recognisable as a Volkswagen. Interestingly, the turn signals and daytime running lights will be positioned in the bumper where the fog lamps are, creating a distinctive appearance at night that is independent from the Tiguan. If we know Volkswagen, a sporty R-Line trim should be among the works too.

Expect a range of 1.5-litre to 2.0-litre TSI and TDI engines mated to the group’s DSG dual clutch and manual transmissions. Front wheel drive should come as standard with the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system option. Keep your eyes peeled for this sleek SUV!
