Audi Sport gives more brute and style for your Audi R8 and Audi TT

Audi Sport has introduced a range of retrofittable performance parts for the Audi R8 and Audi TT, but the items are currently limited to suspension, exhaust, exterior and interior upgrades.

For the R8, customers can now opt for the sport brake linings, offering greater resistance to fading than standard brake linings. The carrying plates are made of featherweight titanium and are painted red. This alone shave off 1 kg of unsprung mass. A set of 20-inch fully milled alloys can be had for both the R8 and TT, reducing weight by 8 kg and 7.2 kg respectively.

A two or three-way coilover suspension is available, as well as a cross-member reinforcement bar for the rear axle. Everyone’s favourite exhaust specialist, Akrapovic designed an exclusive titanium muffler and trims just for the TTS and TT RS.

In the aero department, all components were developed in the wind tunnel, comprised of front air inlet, side sills and rear diffuser. Each are made of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP). Together, they give 250 kg of downforce to the R8 – approximately 100 kg more than before. Other optional CFRP parts include paddle shifters and strut cross brace, saving up t0 20 kg with the rear seats omitted.
