The new 2017 Honda CR-V is on a nationwide tour in Malaysia, with this particular unit finished in White Orchid Pearl now on display at the Mid Valley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur from 7 to 11 June 2017.
However, only the exterior is available for viewing. The cabin is completely sealed pending finalisation of specifications. For starters, the display unit is of the 2.0-litre high-spec variant and not the 1.5-litre VTEC turbo range-topper.
This petrol mill is likely a carryover from the outgoing mode, and that engine produces 153 hp and 190 Nm of torque. The seven-speed CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) is expected to replace the five-speed automatic used in the old model.
Up front, you get the familiar thick chrome grille and the headlamps are full LED. The rear end gets a pair of LED combination lamps. High spec CR-Vs will be equipped with a sporty spoiler and dual-tone alloy wheels. Keyless entry and push-start button are confirmed, although the bigger question now is whether it will be of the five- or seven-seater version.
As reported previously, the new CR-V is the first Honda model in Malaysia to come with Honda Sensing safety suite. Again, the 2017 Honda CR-V is open for booking and will be touring the country according to the schedule below:
