We’re less than 20 days away to the official launching of the all-new 2015 Mitsubishi Triton, and the excitement is certainly building especially after the ‘display box’ stunt Mitsubishi pulled since early last month. We already know that the estimated pricing for the new Triton will range between RM71k to RM114k and that it’s available for booking and test drive.

Our previous report revealed that the Thai-produced Triton will be offered in five trim levels: base variant Quest, Manual, VGT Manual, VGT Automatic and the range topping Adventure. To recap, the oil burning motor fitted in our Tritons is the same but uprated 2.5-litre Variable Geometry Turbodiesel. As a result, it makes 50 Nm more torque than before, while punching 176 hp at 4,000 rpm and a respectable 400 Nm from 2,000 to 3,500 rpm.

Let’s not forget some of the first-in-class features, such as keyless entry with push-start button, HID headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights and the magnesium paddle shifters that we all love, mounted to the steering rack, not behind the wheel.

Now, depending on the variant of your choice, you get dual-zone air conditioning, auto headlamps and wipers, 7-inch touchscreen with reverse camera, a nice 4WD Selector knob and cruise control. The given price list of RM71k to RM114k is inclusive of insurance and GST, and there’s a combined total of six colours for the pickup.

No Variant Estimated Pricing Colours
1 All-New Triton VGT Adventure RM114,000 Earth Green, Pearl White, Shadow Black, Red Solid
2 All-New Triton VGT Automatic RM103,000 Sterling Silver, Pearl White, Shadow Black
3 All-New Triton VGT Manual RM97,000
4 All-New Triton Manual RM87,000 Sterling Silver,White Solid
5 All-New Triton Quest RM71,000
