Ford unveils Pony Pack for Ford Mustang EcoBoost, a nod to its past glory

Ford has just introduced a Pony Package for the world’s best selling sports car, the Ford Mustang. Available as an option on all EcoBoost-equipped cars, the Pony Package features aesthetic upgrades inspired by Mustangs of the late-1960s.

The most noticeable change here is the front grille where the iconic Pony badge is encased in a chrome corral and a horizontal trim running across the grille. This badge design first appeared back in the 60s when the Mustang was still a concept car.

Other unique design features include 19-inch polished aluminium wheels, bright belt line and window trim, Mustang side stripes and rear tri-bar Pony badge. Pricing for the Pony Package remains unknown for now but Ford has said the 2018 Ford Mustang will hit showroom floors come October this year.

Locally, Sime Darby Auto Connexion have both the 2.3-litre EcoBoost and 5.0-liter V8 Ford Mustang officially on sale.
