At the Jetour T1 launch today, Jetour Auto Malaysia has confirmed that the Jetour G700, a premium off-road SUV, is confirmed for a local debut. This follows the previous local debut of the G700 that was previewed locally in left-hand drive guise during KLIMS 2026.
When the Jetour G700 is launched locally, it will be the largest model in the marque’s local lineup. Dimensions come in at 5,198 mm long, 2,050 mm wide, and 1,956 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,870 mm. These dimensions place the G700 comparable in size to the Toyota Land Cruiser, Land Rover Defender 110, and the GWM Tank 500.
Following its stablemates, the Jetour G700 features a rugged, boxy exterior to highlight its off-road prowess. If you thought some of the G700’s lines look familiar to certain SUVs from Range Rover, the G700 is designed by a team led by former Land Rover Chief Designer Andrew Collinson.
In its home market of China, owners can select various styling themes depending on how rugged they want their G700 to look, with optional exterior accessories available for purchase.
Following the exterior, the interior of the Jetour G700 features the same rugged design, complete with a 15.6-inch tablet-style infotainment display and a 35.4-inch panoramic display that almost stretches across the base of the windscreen.

There are several luxurious amenities, such as the option between a five- or six-seater interior configuration, with the six-seater version equipped with individual captain seats for the second row.
The Jetour G700 is offered solely with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. This setup consists of a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and electric motors linked via a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). Combined, it produces 904 hp and 1,135 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h.
This powertrain is paired with a 34.13 kWh battery that, on a full charge and a full tank of petrol, enables a combined range of 1,400 km (CLTC). DC fast charging is supported at up to 170 kW thanks to the onboard 800V architecture, enabling a 30-80% recharge in 10 minutes.
Besides packing lots of power, the Jetour G700 also comes with several off-road capabilities, which include a water-wading depth of up to 970 mm, aided by IP68-rated protection for key powertrain and electrical components. The G700 also offers an approach angle of 40 degrees and a departure angle of 32 degrees, while being capable of tackling gradients of up to 45 degrees.
