Prices for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y in Malaysia have been increased across the range, with the Model 3 now priced from RM149,000, before options and on-the-road costs. The full local pricing breakdown is as follows:
- Model 3 Rear Wheel Drive – RM149,000 (+RM1,400)
- Model 3 Premium Rear Wheel Drive – RM171,000 (+RM2,000)
- Model 3 Premium Long Range Rear Wheel Drive – RM187,000 (+RM2,000)
- Model 3 Performance All-Wheel Drive – RM232,000 (+RM3,000)
Similarly, the Tesla Model Y is now priced from RM198,000, before options and on-the-road costs. The full local pricing breakdown is as follows:
- Model Y Premium Rear Wheel Drive – RM198,000 (+RM2,550)
- Model Y Premium Long Range Rear Wheel Drive – RM219,000 (+RM2,550)
- Model Y L Premium All-Wheel Drive – RM263,000 (+RM3,000)

The update in pricing is likely due to Tesla Malaysia adhering to the new government mandate of new CBU EV import regulations for Franchise AP holders effective 1 July 2026, which dictates a minimum CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight, before duties) value of RM200,000, as well as a minimum power output of 245 hp (180 kW).
While existing owners could previously opt for the one-time purchase option for Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability for the Model 3 and Model Y in Malaysia, the option has been discontinued and will transition to a subscription-only model. Pricing information for this will likely be made available once FSD is enabled in Malaysia.
As such, new customers can now only opt for the Enhanced Autopilot package for an additional cost of RM16,000 for both the Model 3 and Model Y.
The pricing update also follows Tesla Malaysia discontinuing the Long Range All-Wheel Drive variant of the Model Y, following in the footsteps of the Model 3 Long Range All-Wheel Drive variant earlier this year.
