Leapmotor B10 teased in social media post – coming to Malaysia soon

Stellantis Malaysia has taken to social media to tease the Leapmotor B10, with the tagline “I’m impatient,” hinting at a local launch likely before the year ends. The car appears mostly in darkened silhouette, but look closer and you’ll spot the “B10” badge on the number plate and a partially revealed headlight peeking through the shadows.

The Leapmotor B10 will arrive as the smaller C-segment sibling to the Leapmotor C10 D-segment EV SUV. Recently spied testing on public Malaysian roads, it retains many of Leapmotor’s signature styling touches from its larger C10 brother, such as its front and rear lightbars and conventional SUV body shape, but with a smooth, simplistic, yet classy look.

Launched in Thailand recently, the B10 measures 4,515 mm in length, 1,885 mm in width, and 1,655 mm in height, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase — similar to other SUVs in its segment like the BYD Atto 3, MG S5 EV, and Proton eMAS 7. Three variants are available in the Kingdom: Life, Style, and Design.

If you’ve been in the Leapmotor C10, the B10 will feel instantly familiar, with a 14.6-inch floating infotainment display and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster taking centrestage on the dashboard. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto aren’t available yet, though reports suggest both will be added by December 2025. Higher-end variants also get a panoramic sunroof and Oeko-Tex certified faux leather upholstery.

In Thailand, the Leapmotor B10 is offered with a single powertrain — a rear-mounted electric motor producing 218 hp and 240 Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in 8.0 seconds and a top speed of 170 km/h.

The entry-level Life variant features a CATL-sourced 56.2 kWh LFP battery, delivering up to 470 km of range (NEDC) with support for 11 kW AC and 140 kW DC charging. Stepping up to the Style and Design variants brings a larger 67.1 kWh LFP battery, extending range to 516 km (NEDC), alongside slightly faster 168 kW DC fast charging.

Charging-wise, the car takes 18 to 20 minutes to go from 30-80% via DC charging across all variants. Along with this, it also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability at 3.3 kW.

In the Land of Smiles, it is priced from THB688,000 (approx. RM89k). This undercuts many of its competitors, such as the BYD Atto 3 which starts at THB699,900 (approx. RM90k), the Geely EX5 (Proton e.MAS 7 in Malaysia) from THB859,000 (approx. RM111k), and the MG S5 EV from THB719,900 (approx. RM93k).

As it makes its way to Malaysia, prices could start below RM100,000 if hints of local assembly (CKD) at Stellantis Malaysia’s Gurun plant materialise.
