Video: Fastest manual around Nurburgring! 992.2 Porsche 911 GT3 in Malaysia, from RM2.3m

If you have RM2.3 million to spare, here’s something you definitely don’t want to miss out on. The new 2025 992.2-generation Porsche 911 GT3 has now been officially launched in Malaysia, with prices starting from RM2,290,000, on-the-road, without insurance, and before options.

Powering the new GT3 is the same 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six engine but upgraded with some bits from its spicier GT3 RS sibling, producing 510 hp and 450 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission or a six-speed manual transmission, the latter rising to fame by setting a record time for a manual of 6:56.294 minutes around the notorious Green Hell.

The PDK variant accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, while the manual does the same in 3.9 seconds. A new 8% shorter final drive ratio results in a slightly lower top speed, now rated at 311 km/h for the PDK and 313 km/h for the manual, but would translate to a more responsive drive on track.

A key upgrade to the 992.2 Porsche 911 GT3 is its updated aerodynamics. The car features a re-contoured front diffuser and modified fins on the underbody to increase downforce and optimise the air flow.

Visually, these updates include a new Matrix LED headlight design that enables an enlarged air inlet area at the front. At the rear, the redesigned diffuser and massive wing with new angled sideplates complete the look.

If the large rear spoiler on the GT3 takes too much attention, perhaps the GT3 Touring will be a better car for you, as it swaps the rear spoiler for a discreet, automatic, extendable rear spoiler.
