Hankook Ventus Evo launched in Malaysia with improved wet performance, braking, cornering, and durability

Hankook Tire Malaysia has launched the new Ventus Evo and Ventus Evo SUV tyres — its latest flagship sport touring tyre boasting improved braking abilities, cornering ability, durability, and wet performance.

Building on the success of the Ventus S1 Evo 3, which the company says was previously factory-fitted to models from Audi, BMW, and Porsche, the updated design of the new Ventus Evo Tyres features wider lateral grooves for improved transverse water drainage, while a newly developed compound enhances wet grip — earning the tyres an EU “A” rating for wet performance.

Hankook claims that they were also able to reduce concave deformation of the new Ventus Evo Tyres, resulting in a 7% improvement in wet handling and a 4% improvement in wet braking.

Speaking of braking, the new tyres are constructed with new chamfer technology, which improves braking traction and uniformly distributes contact pressure. Hankook says that dry braking has been improved by 6% compared to the previous model.

Along with the much-improved wet performance, the Ventus Evo tyres are said to offer better cornering abilities. Hankook boasts that the tyres now have a flatter side profile with better optimised stiffness — allowing for improved stability and grip, especially at higher speeds.

Lastly, the Ventus Evo tyres have also been developed to last longer than their predecessors. The tyre shape and structure are now optimised for more balanced wear that helps distribute the contact point evenly —  extending mileage by 32% according to Hankook

For those who are interested in purchasing a set, the new Hankook Ventus Evo tyres are now officially available in authorised Hankook tyre stores nationwide.
