Trapo, the homegrown automotive accessory brand, today launched a new range of car mats, dashcams, and paint protection films (PPF) products. The launch, held under the theme of “Smart, Safe, Sustainable” earlier today, also saw the signing of five memoranda of understanding (MOU) between Trapo and several local companies, reinforcing Trapo’s vision for safer, cleaner, and more intelligent mobility.
Kicking off the new product lineup is the introduction of two new car mat models: the Trapo Classic V and Eco IV. The highlight is the addition of the company’s new “CloudFlex” cushioning technology in the Classic V mat, which Trapo claims is 50% softer than conventional car mats.
Furthermore, both new mats also incorporate “RealGrip” anti-slip technology, with the Classic V receiving the new RealGrip 2.0, which the company claims to be 50% more stable than its predecessor. Nevertheless, the technology has now moved down the line to the entry-level Eco series, replacing the old hook-and-loop (or more commonly known as Velcro) system.
Marking the new flagship for Trapo’s dashcam range is the Trapo i-Sight S650, which the company says is its most advanced model yet. The new S650 model is equipped with features such as 2K + 1080P HDR dual-channel recording at 60FPS, a motion sensing parking mode, super night vision, and advanced driver assistance System (ADAS) features like lane centring assist, all viewed on a new 2.4-inch IPS display.
For its recently-launched detailing services, Trapo’s PRO+ paint protection film (PPF) series now includes thicker 8.5 mil and 9.5 mil variants, in addition to the existing 7.5 mil offerings, promising improved durability and long-term resistance.
In addition to the usual clear films, all PPFs are also now available in Gloss Black or Matte Clear finishes, giving customers more options for customisation. The PPF are made using TPU from Germany, adhesives from the USA, and coating technology from Japan, and come with a warranty of up to 10 years guaranteeing their quality.

Aside from its new products, Trapo Malaysia also signed five MOUs with key partners to promote sustainability, efficient manufacturing, and driver education. These include Nick PPF for advanced surface protection, MITA Rubber for sustainable rubber innovation, KYM Holding for smart manufacturing scalability, Metro Driving Academy for driver education initiatives, and the appointment of Hasrat Meranti Sdn Bhd (HM) as Trapo’s official packaging solutions provider.
