Trapo, the automotive accessories brand known for its car mats has just launched its first dashcam series, in collaboration with the eCommerce platform – Lazada. Known as the Trapo i-Sight, the series consists of two dashcam packages, namely the T350 and T550, which are both exclusively sold at the brand’s Lazda LazMall Flagship Store. The T350 is priced at RM259, while the higher-end T550 is priced at RM624. Both dashcams come with a free 64GB and 128GB micro SD card respectively.
Trapo will also be giving its first 100 customers an exclusive 24% discount starting October 6, 2023, which will see the two dashcams’ prices lowered to RM199 and RM469 respectively. The aforementioned micro SD cards will also be included.
The Trapo iSight T350 series comes with a front dashcam capable of recording at 2560 x 1440p (2K) resolution. The Trapo iSight T550 on the other hand includes a front dashcam capable of recording at 3840 x 2160p (4K) resolution, as well as a rear dashcam that can record 1920 x 1080p (full HD) footage.
Besides having excellent low-light filming capabilities, Trapo has also fitted its iSight dashcams with lithium-ion supercapacitors that are said to have 42% better heat endurance compared to regular lithium batteries and can operate under an ideal temperature range of -40°C and 85°C. This ensures that the dashcams can withstand Malaysia’s hot weather.

The iSight dashcams also feature G-sensors that can detect when an accident happens, which will then save the footage as an emergency file so that the user can easily find it for convenience purposes. GPS Tracking technology is included too, allowing users to track and locate their vehicles in the case of theft.
Additionally, the new Trapo dashcams are equipped with voice command features too. Drivers can simply command the dashcam to turn off its display, turn off its Wi-Fi, or even take a picture. To view the footage recorded, customers can simply access them through the Trapo dashcam app.
Customers who are looking for additional peace of mind may also purchase the Trapo dashcams with the brand’s hardwire kit. This essentially allows the dashcam to be active 24/7, especially when vibrations caused by, for example, someone crashing into your car are detected.
If you are worried that the 24-hour parking mode may damage your car’s battery, don’t worry. Trapo explains that its voltage protection is capable of preventing flat batteries from happening, and will also act as a reminder to check your battery.
The Trapo iSight T350 and T550 dashcams come with a 1-year warranty. Customers who have purchased the products may also visit their installation points throughout Malaysia.
