2025 Mercedes-Benz EQV300 launched in Malaysia from RM450k – EV 7-seater van, up to 418km range

Hap Seng Trucks Distribution (HSTD), the authorised distributor for Mercedes-Benz Vans in Malaysia, has launched the new Mercedes-Benz EQV300 today. The all-electric counterpart of the Mercedes-Benz Vito Tourer is priced from RM450,350 on-the-road, without insurance.

Globally revealed in 2023, the facelift version of the electric luxury people mover is now available in Malaysia with just one variant—the Avantgarde. Measuring at 5,140 mm long, 1,918 mm wide, 1,923 mm tall, and with a wheelbase of 3,200 mm, the new EQV300 sports an updated front fascia that includes a closed-off grille and Multibeam LED headlights as standard.

At the rear, nothing much has changed compared to the previous Vito, except for the taillights that now sport blacked-out internals. The car rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and features an automatic tailgate to make loading the vehicle easier. Standard to the exterior include:

  • Multibeam Headlights
  • LED Taillights
  • Automatic split tailgate with opening rear glass
  • Automatic folding side mirrors
  • Automatic sliding doors
  • 17-inch alloy wheels with 5-spoke design

Inside, the new Mercedes-Benz EQV300 sees a major overhaul compared to the Vito in Malaysia. The cabin has been completely redesigned and now features dual 12.3-inch displays—one for the digital instrument cluster and another for the central infotainment system. The steering wheel has also been updated to match Mercedes-Benz’s latest line-up, now sporting with capacitive touch controls. Additionally, the gear selector has been replaced with a simpler, more streamlined design first seen on the A-Class.

The air-conditioning vents have adopted a more squared-off look, with long rectangular vents dominating the centre console. Enhancing the cabin ambience is a comprehensive 64-colour ambient lighting system with 10 colour themes and a panoramic sunroof. The EQV is offered in a single seven-seater variant, featuring a 2-2-3 seating configuration. Standard interior features are as such:

  • Dual 12.3-inch displays for the central infotainment and digital instrument cluster
  • Mercedes MBUX multimedia system with “Hey Mercedes”
  • Linguatronic voice control
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • 15-speaker Burmester sound system
  • Multifunction steering wheel
  • Interior ambient lighting with 64 colours
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Lugano leather upholstery
  • Interior wood trims

Powering the Mercedes-Benz EQV300 is a single front-mounted electric motor that drives the front wheels, delivering 204 hp and 365 Nm of torque. This setup enables a top speed of 160 km/h.

Energy comes from a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing up to 418 km of driving range (NEDC). The EQV supports AC charging at up to 11 kW, which takes approximately 10 hours for a full charge. With access to a 110 kW DC fast charger, charging from 10% to 80% takes roughly 45 minutes.

Being such a massive car, the Mercedes-Benz EQV300 comes standard with Mercedes’ Parking Package that includes a 360-degree camera and Active Parking Assist to make parking easier, in addition to a slew of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) which include:

  • Active Brake Assist
  • Lane Keep Assist
  • Blind Spot Assist
  • Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring
  • Attention Assist
  • Hill-Start Assist
