Following its preview in October, MINI Malaysia has now officially confirmed the pricing for the 2024 MINI Cooper S 5 Door, which starts at RM293,888 on-the-road, without insurance, and with the standard two-year warranty, or RM304,288 inclusive of the four-year unlimited-mileage Extended Warranty and Service Package.
The F65 five-door variant will join the F66 three-door MINI Cooper S as the two “all-new” petrol-powered models on sale here in Malaysia, although as you may infer from their model codes, the two are actually more of a heavy facelift from the previous-generation model, rather than an actual brand-new model like the J01 fully electric MINI Cooper SE.
As such, its powertrain remains completely unchanged from before: underneath the bonnet is a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four mill with a slightly higher 204 hp and 300 Nm output, paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission to drive the front wheels. Performance figures are rated at 6.8 seconds for its century sprint, and a top speed of 242 km/h.
Standard kit on the 2024 MINI Cooper S 5 Door is pretty much identical to its three-door sibling, with exterior equipment such as the adaptive LED headlights, matrix LED taillights, piano black trims, and 18-inch Slide Spoke two-tone alloy wheels coming as standard. The five-door variant measures 160 mm longer to accommodate a larger rear passenger compartment, though the rest of its dimensions are unchanged.

Inside, the 2024 MINI Cooper S 5 Door comes from the factory with the marque’s latest 9.4-inch round OLED display in the centre of the dashboard serving infotainment duty, a head-up display behind the steering wheel, dual-zone climate control system, knitted fabric dashboard cover with a light projection ambient lighting system, manual seats in multicolour leatherette upholstery, as well as a 12-speaker 360W Harman Kardon surround sound system.
As a bonus for the RM14,000 premium you’ll be paying over the standard three-door, the 2024 MINI Cooper S 5 Door in Malaysia will also come as standard with the Driving Assistant Plus package, which offers advanced driver assistance features such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-go functionality, lane centering assist, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert with collision warning, as well as traffic sign recognition. These features are part of a subscription package for the three-door.
The new 2024 MINI Cooper S 5 Door is available in five exterior colour choices: Chili Red and Nanuq White, both paired with a black roof, alongside two exclusive hues dubbed Icy Sunshine Blue and Legend Grey, both of which come with a white roof and white wing mirrors.
