The Malaysian Road Transport Department (JPJ) has issued a recall notice for two automotive brands. The latest list includes models from Toyota and Mercedes-Benz. For detailed information regarding specific brands, please click on the corresponding links.
Announced via JPJ’s official Facebook page, the third recall series for 2024 covers a total of one model from Toyota and 31 models from Mercedes-Benz. The recall covers several Mercedes-Benz models such as the:
- A-class (A 200, A 250, A 250 4Matic)
- B-class (B 200)
- CLA (CLA 200 Coupe, CLA 250 Coupe)
- GLA (GLA 200, GLA 250, GLA 250 4Matic)
- GLB (GLB 200, GLB 250 4Matic)
- GLE (GLE 450 4Matic)
- GLS (GLS 450 4Matic, Maybach GLS 600 4Matic)

The recall also impacts several AMG models including:
- AMG A45 S 4Matic
- AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic
- AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+ Coupe
- AMG A35 4Matic
- AMG GLA 45 S 4Matic+
- AMG GLE 53 4Matic+
- AMG GLE 63 4Matic+
As for their electric vehicles (EVs), the affected models are:

Affected Mercedes-Benz owners are urged to contact their nearest authorised dealership or visit the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia recall webpage for further details and to schedule an appointment.

As for affected Toyota owners, the Toyota Vios that was produced between March 2023 and February 2024 are being recalled with approximately 24,345 units affected. Toyota Vios owners are encouraged to contact their sales advisors, visit UMW Toyota dealerships or visit the Toyota recall webpage for further information and to schedule a service appointment.
