Following the teasers – and subsequent confirmation – last month, Suzuki Cars Malaysia, represented by Naza Eastern Motors, has now opened the order books for the Suzuki Fronx, ahead of the model’s official launch in Q4 2025.
The Suzuki Fronx will mark the company’s first entry into the mass-market segment in Malaysia, in the form of a B-segment compact crossover measuring roughly the same size as the Perodua Ativa.
Pricing and technical specifications were not disclosed, although the social media announcement does highlight the model’s hybrid badge, essentially confirming that the Malaysian-bound model will be offered with the 1.5-litre mild-hybrid powertrain option.
That pairs a 1.5-litre inline-four engine with a unique 12-volt “SHVS” mild hybrid system, consisting of a belt-driven starter generator (BSG) and a lithium-ion battery, to provide additional power when needed while reducing emissions and fuel consumption.
Together, the powertrain produces a total output of 101 hp and 135 Nm, and is paired to either a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission globally – expect only the latter here in Malaysia.

Debuting at the recent Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), the all-new Suzuki Fronx features a unique sporty exterior design, characterised by its sloping roofline and muscular rear haunches. The split-headlight design and full-width taillights add a dash of modern aesthetics, and are complemented by rugged-looking bumpers and 16-inch wheels as standard in Indonesia.
Inside, the compact crossover comes equipped with a nine-inch infotainment display, taking centrestage on the intricately-styled dashboard. Notable features inside include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 360-degree surround-view monitor, a head-up display, wireless charger, and automatic climate control with rear air-con vents.
In Indonesia, the Suzuki Fronx is available as a locally assembled (CKD) model, priced from IDR259 million to IDR322 million (approx. RM67k to RM83k). It is likely the Fronx will also be imported into Malaysia from there, given Suzuki’s export plans for its assembly plants at Cikarang, West Java.
