Continental Tyres has introduced the new UltraContact UX7 tyres in Malaysia, specifically designed for SUVs. Available from Q2 2025 onwards, these tyres will come in sizes from 15- to 22-inch in diameter, and will be available in your local official Continental outlets or in the official Continental online stores on Shopee, TNG, or Lazada.
SUVs are usually heavier and bigger than sedans and hatchbacks, and their higher centre of gravity also means they handle differently to smaller cars too. As such, having them sport the same tyres as regular cars is not optimal – maybe even risky in some cases.
That is why Continental Tyres has now unveiled the UltraContact UX7 specifically made for SUVs, with three main focuses in its development: Safety, Durability, and Comfort.
The UltraContact UX7 features Continental’s X-Force Macroblocks that increase the contact area with the road in all driving conditions for better handling and safety. It is made of Continental’s silica-infused Adaptive Diamond Compound that converts kinetic energy into heat to warm the tyres up for better braking performance on dry and wet surfaces. Adding to that, Aqua Channels on the tyre thread allow for optimal water dissipation for maximum safety, reducing risk of aquaplaning.

To make the tyre more durable, Continental built the UltraContact UX7 on what it calls “Robust360 Construction”, featuring steel belt reinforcements for better shock absorption and shape retention for stability. Accompanied by a new construction with polymer chains of Diamond Compounds, this new carcass design reduces the risk of tyre damage from chips and cuts of typical city roads and occasional harsh terrain.
But let’s be real, SUV drivers these days tend to drive mostly on urban terrain. So with the Noisebreaker 3.0 technology embedded into the tyre thread design, the UltraContact UX7 also ensures a smooth and quiet drive throughout every journey.
