Nissan has launched the all-new 2025 Nissan Serena e-Power in Thailand, just under four months after the previous-generation model made its debut there. It is offered in the Kingdom solely as a seven-seater variant, fully imported (CBU) from Japan, and is priced at THB 1.690 million (approx. RM221k), according to Headlight Magazine.
The Nissan Serena e-Power, also known by its C28 generation suffix, measures 4,765 mm in length, 1,715 mm in width, and 1,870 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,870 mm. Notably, this latest version is shorter, narrower, and taller than the outgoing C27 generation Serena S-hybrid that’s currently offered in Malaysia.
As highlighted in its name, the Nissan Serena e-Power features the company’s unique e-Power hybrid powertrain. It includes a 1.4-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 98 hp and 123 Nm, paired with an electric motor delivering 163 hp and 315 Nm to the front wheels.
Much like the Nissan Kicks’ e-Power system, the Serena’s engine doesn’t directly power the wheels; instead, it acts as a generator to charge the onboard 1.77 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

On the exterior, the Serena e-Power features the latest iteration of Nissan’s ‘V-motion’ front grille with integrated LED headlights. Catering to its family-friendly MPV status, it includes two powered sliding doors with hands-free functionality on both sides for easy access. Additionally, the windshield and front windows now utilise acoustic glass to enhance cabin comfort.
Inside, the dashboard is equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while the driver benefits from a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. Configured exclusively as a seven-seater, the Nissan Serena e-Power offers a central walkway, providing convenient access to the third row for passengers.
Nissan highlights the versatility of the Serena e-Power’s seating, offering 13 different configurations. These range from various family seating arrangements to a transportable layout for carrying bulky cargo, and a relaxed “Happy Room” mode where the second and third rows fold flat to create a room-like space within the vehicle.

Reinforcing its family-cruiser credentials, the Nissan Serena e-Power boasts 17 cupholders throughout its interior. The second row offers a versatile four-way sliding function (front, back, left, right). Folding tables are also included on the second and third-row seats, along with an onboard air purifier system.
In Malaysia, the C27 Nissan Serena S-hybrid is offered in two variants, priced from RM149,888 to RM163,888. It is powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine producing 150 hp and 200 Nm, supplemented by a mild-hybrid system and is paired with a CVT gearbox.
Given the local popularity of MPVs, Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) could launch the Serena e-Power in Malaysia next. The only question now is when?
