BMW Group Malaysia has announced the opening of new electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities in Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur. The new DC and AC charger locations means that EV owners in the region will enjoy more convenience keeping their cars on the road.
As always, the company has collaborated with various charge point operators (CPO) and its partners in the latest expansion to its EV charging network; Gentari and DC Handal in Putrajaya, whilst ChargEV and ChargeSini focused on efforts in Kuala Lumpur.
The newly-opened EV charger facilities by BMW Group Malaysia can be located in the following areas below:
- Kuala Lumpur:
- KLGCC Gallery – x2 22kW AC chargers (RM1.00/kWh), x4 600kW DC chargers (RM1.80 kWh)
- Intercontinental Hotel – x2 60kW DC chargers (RM1.39/kWh)
- Putrajaya:
- IOI Putrajaya – x1 22kW AC charger (RM0.90/kWh), x6 240kW DC chargers (RM1.50/kWh)
- Pulse Grande Hotel – x2 47kW DC chargers (RM1.00/kWh)
- Marina Putrajaya – x2 7kW AC chargers (RM0.18/min)
- Kompleks Putrajaya – x3 20kW AC chargers (RM0.25/min)

Nagel adds that the opening of EV charging facilities in key areas within Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur enhances the convenience of EV owners in high-traffic areas. In addition to supporting BMW Group Malaysia’s electrified future vision.
BMW Group Malaysia is still committed to expanding Malaysia’s EV infrastructure, and will be working closely together with other CPOs to support and expand the network of over 2,020 charging facilities across Malaysia.
