Honda Malaysia has achieved another milestone, selling over 11,300 units of its 6th-generation Honda CR-V. This success makes the CR-V the top mid-size SUV in Malaysia for 2024, with a 36% market share.
Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura said the CR-V has received very good reception since its launch in December 2023. Sales grew 40% year-on-year, reinforcing the CR-V’s position in the segment.

The Honda CR-V also ranks as the third best-selling model in Honda Malaysia’s lineup. The 2.0L e:HEV RS variant contributed 20% of total sales, leading the hybrid mid-size SUV segment with an 87% market share. Mr. Yoshimura also noted the strong performance of petrol variants. The E variant was the top choice, making up 40% of total Honda CR-V sales.

The Honda CR-V e:HEV is mainly driven by an electric motor with 184 hp and 335 Nm, while its 2.0-litre engine serves as a generator. The 1.5-litre turbocharged variants, on the other hand, makes 193 hp and 243 Nm.

Prices for the CR-V starts from 159,900 for the S variant, RM169,900 for the E variant. RM181,900 for the V variant and RM195,900 for the e:HEV RS hybrid variant.
Last month, Honda Malaysia also launched the new facelift Civic starting from RM133,900 for the E variant, RM144,900 for the V variant, RM149,900 for the RS turbo variant, and RM167,900 for the e:HEV RS hybrid variant.
Aside from the refreshed looks, upgrades also include a new Individual drive mode, built-in Google services such as Google Maps and updated Honda Sensing and Honda Connect features.
Honda Malaysia sold 81,600 vehicles last year, strengthening its No.1 position in the non-national passenger vehicle segment for the 11th consecutive year.
