Launched in December 2024, the Omoda C9 is now making its way to dealerships across Malaysia, according to Jaecoo Malaysia. Two variants of the new D-segment SUV are available, with prices starting at RM168,800 on-the-road, without insurance.

Both variants are locally assembled (CKD) at Chery’s plant in Shah Alam. The initial batch of 500 units is now being delivered to Jaecoo dealerships nationwide with customer deliveries expected to begin shortly.

Powering the Omoda C9 is a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four engine, generating 257 hp and 400 Nm. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, and both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations are available.
Standard equipment includes heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 12.3-inch display for both the gauge cluster and the touchscreen infotainment system.
The top-of-the-line AWD variant adds leather upholstery, a 14-speaker Sony sound system with two integrated speakers in the driver’s headrest, and an in-car air fragrance system.
