Following its initial preview at the Malaysia Auto Show, the 2025 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro e+ was showcased, this time in its facelifted guise at a Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) event. The updated model features several changes to its interior and exterior.
Calling it a facelift is putting it mildly, the car on display features a completely new front-end design with updated headlights and new pop-up door handles. Compared to the car first shown at the Malaysia Auto Show, the interior has been completely revamped, now featuring a pair of screens – likely for the instrument cluster and infotainment system – and a new centre console design.

The Tiggo 8 Pro e+ uses the same 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine found in the Omoda 5, producing 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). Combined, this system delivers 326 hp and a whopping 545 Nm of torque.
Nine driving modes allow drivers to choose between pure electric driving, maximising fuel efficiency, or combining both power sources for maximum performance, thus adapting the hybrid system to different needs and optimising energy usage in different conditions.
Although an official launch date for the Tiggo 8 Pro e+ hasn’t been announced by Chery Malaysia, its recent preview at MITI day strongly suggests that its arrival in Malaysia is imminent.
