Stellantis Malaysia has recently hosted a media preview event for the Leapmotor C10, a mid-sized D-segment electric SUV positioned as a competitor to the Tesla Model Y. The Leapmotor C10 is scheduled for launch in Malaysia next month.

The Leapmotor C10 will be offered with a single-motor setup. While specific technical details are yet to be announced, the global export version of the car features a rear-mounted electric motor producing 218 hp and 320 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of approximately 7.3 seconds.

Based on preliminary information, the Leapmotor C10 is likely equipped with a 69.9 kWh battery pack, providing an estimated WLTP range of approximately 420 km. However, official specifications will be confirmed closer to the launch date.

The Leapmotor C10 features a modern interior with twin floating screens for the infotainment and instrument displays, measuring 14.6- and 10-inches respectively. The cabin’s minimalist design incorporates high-quality materials, including dermatologist-tested Oeke Tex upholstery that is water-resistant and suitable for families.

Leapmotor regards itself as an EV manufacturer with complete in-house capabilities. By developing its own electric powertrains and software, Leapmotor aims to maintain greater control over production processes, adapt more effectively to market demands, and ultimately offer competitive pricing.

The pricing for the Leapmotor C10 in Malaysia has not been officially announced. However, Stellantis Malaysia has indicated that the C10 will be competitively priced, similar to other popular electric SUVs in the market. Watch the video to find out more!
