ASEAN-exclusive one-off model, Porsche Taycan Turbo S “Celestial Jade” to make Malaysian appearance

Porsche has revealed a special edition of the updated Porsche Taycan in Singapore, exclusively for the ASEAN region. Dubbed the Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade, the one-off model is developed by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and Porsche Asia Pacific (PAP) as a product of the Sonderwunsch programme, just like the Porsche Taycan Turbo K-Edition.

The Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade stands out with its exclusive green exterior finish. Inspired by the Asian gemstone, the paint features a captivating gradient effect that blends green-blue Urban Bamboo and purple-green Shifting Carbon hues.

This unique paint is achieved using bespoke Chromaflair technology, a specialised process involving the application of a dense layer of 1 µm-thick aluminium flakes. This labor-intensive process requires approximately 80 hours of manual work across a year of development to achieve the desired effect. Even the key has been applied with the same paint job.

The Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade also features a unique logo inspired by the mythical Chinese creature, longma. This emblem, featuring a dragon’s (long) head and a horse’s (ma) body, is prominently displayed via the Taycan’s puddle lamps, illuminated side sills, and embroidered headrests. Said to be an auspicious symbol signifying great power and strength, the logo also bears a deeper layer of symbolism to the EV, as the ‘Taycan’ name has Turkish origins meaning a ‘Young Horse’.

The Celestial Jade model features upgraded exterior elements, including gloss carbon fibre accents and 21-inch Taycan Exclusive Design alloy wheels with carbon fibre aerodynamic fairings. The interior offers a new customizable option – Leather to Sample – allowing customers to choose from a palette of 150 colours, including the exclusive English Green.

Based on the updated Porsche Taycan Turbo S variant, the Celestial Jade is powered by a dual-motor AWD setup rated at 775 hp and 1,100 Nm. With Boost Mode, the Taycan Turbo S can produce up to 952 hp momentarily. This allows the Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds onwards to a 260 km/h top speed.

The updated Porsche Taycan Turbo S offers a range of up to 630 km (WLTP) thanks to efficiency improvements and its 105 kWh battery. Additionally, the upgraded 320 kW DC fast charging capability allows for a rapid charge from 10 to 80% in just 18 minutes.

The Porsche Taycan Turbo S Celestial Jade will be embarking on a tour of Malaysia and Thailand before being auctioned off for charity next year. This provides an opportunity for interested individuals to view and be up close with the car.
