Honda Civic Si facelift debuts in the US – improved chassis and rev-matching

The popular Honda Civic Si receives an update for the 2025 model year, featuring both cosmetic and performance enhancements. This sporty variant of the Civic lineup continues to offer a compelling option for driving enthusiasts seeking a fun and practical daily driver.

The most noticeable changes lie in the exterior design. The 2025 Honda Civic Si adopts the refreshed styling cues of the broader Civic family, including a new front fascia with a hexagonal grille. New taillights with a darker appearance further differentiate the Si from its standard counterparts.

Performance-wise, the 2025 Civic Si retains the familiar and well-regarded 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. It is expected to maintain a similar output as the previous model, which delivered 205 hp and 260 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and power is sent to the front wheel (FWD) through a standard helical limited-slip differential (LSD).

On the inside, the 2025 Civic Si incorporates a driver-focused technology suite. This includes a 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a new 10.2-inch digital instrument display, and standard Google built-in connectivity. The interior features sport-oriented elements such as heated front seats with integrated headrests, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching, and red accents on the dashboard. Additionally, the Civic Si comes equipped with a premium Bose audio system. Also new is the built-in Google which includes apps like Google Assistant, Google Maps, and more on Google Play.

Honda has enhanced the Civic Si’s chassis rigidity for improved handling precision. Additionally, the suspension system has undergone recalibration to complement these changes. The manual transmission’s rev-matching feature now extends to downshifts from second to first gear, offering greater driver assistance and smoother gear changes.

The Civic Si incorporates a comprehensive suite of active and passive safety technologies. These include an enhanced Collision Mitigation Braking System with improved pedestrian and cyclist detection, along with refined Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist systems for smoother operation. The vehicle’s structure incorporates Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body design to enhance occupant protection in various collision scenarios. Furthermore, the inclusion of advanced airbag technology, including front airbags designed to mitigate severe brain trauma, underscores Honda’s dedication to safety.
