Video: 2024 Smart #3 in Malaysia, from RM175k for a “mini GLC”

Smart Malaysia has just launched its second model here in Malaysia, the Smart #3. Essentially a coupe version of the Smart #1, the #3 is offered in three variants, namely the Pro, Premium, and Brabus, with prices ranging from RM175,000 to RM255,000.

Built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) platform, the Smart #3 in Malaysia is offered in standard exterior equipment such as the brand’s CyberSparks LED headlamps, 19-inch alloys with different designs depending on the variant chosen, and a power tailgate. The Premium variant gets extras such as automatic front and rear sequential LED turn signals and luminous side logos, while the range-topping Brabus adds on the Brabus aero kit.

Powering the Smart #3 Pro and Premium is the brand’s single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup, making 272 hp (metric) and 343 Nm. The Brabus variant on the other hand sports a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup that pushes out 428 hp (metric) and 543 Nm.

Range-wise, the Smart #3 Pro in Malaysia can travel as far as 325 km (WLTP) on a single charge, thanks to its 49 kWh battery pack. On the other hand, the Premium and Brabus variants can go even further at 455 km (WLTP) and 415 km (WLTP) respectively, thanks to their larger 66 kWh battery packs.
