Proton e.MAS brand launched with new EV-exclusive logo, first EV to launch by end of 2024

Proton has just unveiled the name for its electric vehicle (EV) series – e.MAS. The new EV series brand name also comes with a new logo, which the brand’s Chief Designer, Azlan Othman says is a reimagination of the Proton tiger logo.

The e.MAS logo looks identical to the latest Proton logo, which was unveiled back in 2019, but now presents a flatter and clearer image of the tiger, according to the Chief Designer, giving it a more modern look. This new Proton e.MAS tiger logo will appear at the front of Proton’s future all-electric models. An “e.MAS” badge will also be slapped on the back of those models to signify their all-electric identity.

A new turquoise colour has also been introduced for the e.MAS brand. Azlan Othman says this new colour is based on Proton’s existing Super Nova Blue colour but has been enhanced further. The hue of green in the turquoise colour is said to represent cleaner energy, as well as safer for the environment and the planet.

Aside from launching the e.MAS EV brand, Proton has also appointed its first 17 e.MAS dealerships which are stationed nationwide, including in Sabah. These dealerships consist of existing Proton dealerships as well as new ones. Proton also emphasised that in order to sell the e.MAS EVs, its existing Proton dealerships must adhere to certain criteria, which are not specified at the time of writing.
