Auto Bavaria has just introduced the BMW i5 Limited Edition with M Performance parts with a limited run of 20 units only. It is essentially the same BMW i5 eDrive40, but with a whole bunch of M Performance goodies worth more than RM100,000 equipped on it. The BMW i5 Limited Edition retails at RM449,800 (with BMW Service & Repair Inclusive) and it is exclusively available at Auto Bavaria.
The BMW i5 Limited Edition with M Performance Parts adds… a bunch of M Performance parts, specifically the following:
- BMW M Performance carbon fibre exterior mirror cap
- BMW M Performance Carbon side skirt attachments
- BMW M Performance Carbon Pro rear spoiler
- BMW M Performance 21-inch light alloy wheels (Style 943M) finished in Frozen Midnight Grey
- BMW M Performance Aramid rear diffuser insert
- BMW M Performance Carbon front attachment
All else, the BMW i5 Limited Edition by Auto Bavaria is essentially the same BMW i5 eDrive40 underneath all the kit. It still sports the same single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup that makes 340 hp (in Sports mode) and 430 Nm (with Boost mode engaged). It can do 0-100 km/h in 6.0 seconds onward to a limited top speed of 193 km/h.
It is a great opportunity to get a sportier-looking i5 since the 2024 Malaysian update somewhat toned down the eDrive40 M Sport’s looks with a smaller set of wheels. And while the M Performance parts do help to make the i5 eDrive40 more aggressive, its non-M grille is still retained so it will be easy to tell it apart from the i5 M60 when it is launched sometime later.
No interior enhancements are listed for the BMW i5 Limited Edition so you can expect the same setup as the normal i5 eDrive 40. Things like the curved display and the interaction bar are among the expected items.
With only 20 units available, you might want to hurry if you’re keen on getting these M Performance parts at a discount. The limited edition i5 is exclusively available at Auto Bavaria.
