On the outside, the new Isuzu D-Max has been given quite a facelift, especially with the top-of-the-range X-Terrain variant. There is now a new front radiator grille at the front, with its lower radiator slats being replaced by a new honeycomb lattice design. Isuzu says this allows for more efficient cooling.

Also new are the newly-designed automatic Bi-LED projector headlights with LED turn signals and LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Available at the back are the redesigned LED taillight clusters, a new tailgate, as well as a new handle design, which features a keyhole to allow the tailgate to be locked should a canopy or lid be fitted.

In terms of exterior colour options, the 2024 Isuzu D-Max in Malaysia is now available with a new Namibu Orange Mica paint option. It joins the existing colour options that consist of Islay Grey, Onyx Black, and Dolomite White Pearl.

Wheel-wise, the Auto Plus and Standard variants get silver 17-inch alloys. The higher-end X-terrain and Premium variants on the other hand are fitted with new matt black 18-inch alloys, which the carmaker claims are both rugged and easy to clean even when clumped with mud.

Isuzu has also spent quite some effort on improving the D-Max’s aerodynamics performance. The pickup truck is now fitted with a new front bumper that sports new air curtains located around the front foglamp housings. As a result, the turn signals have been moved to the headlight housing.
