Attention to all Peugeot 408 fans in Malaysia. Peugeot Malaysia will be showcasing the all-new 408 at participating showrooms during its Sinar Raya Open House Weekend, taking place on April 20 and 21, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Scheduled for its Malaysian launch in May, the Peugeot 408 will not only be a locally assembled (CKD) model but will also be offered in three variants, according to Stellantis Malaysia. The Malaysian-spec Peugeot 408 is said to be powered by the brand’s PureTech 1.6-litre turbocharged inline-4 petrol engine that puts out 218 hp (metric) and 300 Nm. Paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission, power is sent to the front wheels.
No longer looking like a traditional three-box sedan, the all-new Peugeot 408 now sports a coupe-like crossover design. It is also the brand’s first model to sport the new Peugeot logo.
Participants of Peugeot Malaysia’s Sinar Raya Open House Weekend event will also be able to drop bookings for the 408. Additionally, they can enjoy rebates of up to RM8,000 and a chance to win lucky ketupats when they test drive and book the Peugeot 2008, 3008, and 5008 that weekend. Visitors who test-drive the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 will qualify for a lucky ketupat and stand a chance to win up to RM1,000 of additional duit raya for bookings made.
The Sinar Raya promotion will run till April 30. Customers will continue to enjoy up to RM8,000 in rebates when they place a booking for a Peugeot model.
